A Memo Board Project!

So today, I was feeling crafty plus I've really been wanting a Memo type board for my dinner menu schedule. {I plan my menu for 2 weeks at a time and try to just shop on 1 day}

This was my first time using Mod Podge. I'm not sure yet if I like it. Any tips out there for using Mod Podge?

So this is what I ended up with! I really like how it turned out.
What I used:

1 beefy/chunky black frame purchased for $10 @ Ross
3 scrapbooking pages from Michaels...$1 each. {really wanted lime or apple green damask...but did they have it?? NO}
Black and white polk a dot sheer ribbon
2 magnetic clips spray painted black
Mod Podge (traditional matte) $8.

I really like how it turned out! So go make one for you or someone you think needs a little "pretty" organization!

New Project

So, I am thinking about making another dress like the one my daughter is wearing and putting it on my etsy site. I really liked how it turned out and it is so appropriate for 8 year old girls that are getting baptized (that's the age we baptize in our church) learn more here.

I'll tell you why I love it:
      1, It's a dress that she can wear again
2, It's not a poofy flower girl dress that makes her feel like she is still 4
3, It's a Project Runway pattern that I can actually make and customize!
4. It looks adorable with boots and will be perfect with ballet flats in the Spring and Summer.

My latest craft project......

Owl Towel
This is the first time I have made my own applique` and actually sewed it onto something!!! It turned out so cute! (I think it actually looked better in person as I didn't have very good light when I took the photos)

This was a gift for my friend Amy for her baby shower. She is having her 4th boy in two days!!! I always make hooded towels....or hair bows. I love owls for boys. So cute! After she opened the gift, she passed it around the room where it was analyzed and questions were asked like how did you do this etc. I had to explain that it was my first applique and the machine gave me terrible fits all the way through! Why didn't I just get an outfit for him ??? LOL

Ta Da!! Here it is!

It's a Pom Pom Tu Tu! I love it! My little friend Kayla will be wearing tomorrow for some really fun pictures for the Etsy shop! I think it would look adorable with some brown leggings and a cute top or would also look good over a vintage style jean. Stay tuned!
