The New Playhouse

Well.....actually we commandeered it from the boys as it was built to be their fort! They weren't too interested in it this last year so I decided that Camryn could have it as a playhouse. We kept the paint color the same and worked with a palate of light blue. I made curtains with pom pom fringe and built a flower box too! We put in a table and two chairs, a light green rug with floral floor pillows and a pot of flowers! She invited me to the first of many tea parties and she was a great little hostess complete with a girly vintage type apron! The only thing missing is a red dutch door(and a welcome sign) ! Hmmm, wonder if I can build that too?

Way too many boo boos!

So, in the past two weeks my boys have all had at least one accident! Blake has had the most! Poor kid! I suppose that is because he is the most rambunctious and always on the move. It seems he always has a bump on the head or skinned knees. Such is the life of an almost 3 year old. Here is Blake's head after a trip to Urgent Care where they super glued his head wound closed. He fell at the park and cut his head open and it seemed like the bleeding never stopped! Thanks to Kristi for taking my other kids home to Dad! Then yesterday, he slipped while climbing on my bed and hit his nose and bled again! Poor kiddo. All better now.

The first photo is of Jeffrey after nearly impaling himself on the handle bars of his bike. Ouch!

Gavin was body slammed on Friday night during a game of hide and go seek with the neighborhood kids and smacked his head on the pavement. I was all the way in the garage and I heard his head hit the ground. We are so blessed that all he got from that was a bump on the head. No photo for this one. I was way too panicked.

Jeff and his chocolate chip cookie habbit!

My son Jeffrey loves chocolate chip cookies. Always has always will! So, I thought that for once he could actually make them himself! All I did was put them in and take them out of the oven. They were so delicious! I would have taken pictures of the finished product but they were gone so fast!

Despite his face in this picture- he really was happy to bake the cookies!

Miss Lizzy!!!!

Meow! We have a cute new addition to our family! She is a bit camera shy as this was her first few minutes with us. Lizzy is named for my favorite Jane Austen charchter Elizabeth Bennet. She is spunky and fiesty but also so sweet and loving. I am sure we will have many pictures of her in the future. She has already adjusted so well. We all love her. (Yes even Mike)Who'd of thought that we were cat people???

Annual Cherry Picking!

This past weekend we went to our favorite cherry orchard, "Ambers Cherries." The kids have so much fun picking the cherries but not eating them! But, we still go year after year! Traditions are important.
