Homeschooling!

As I stated briefly in a prior post, we are now a homeschoolin' family! I know, I can't believe it either sometimes. I had been thinking about homeschooling since last October and didn't know why! It just kept popping up in my head that it was something that I needed to really ponder on. Finally Mike and I made the decision to homeschool this past March. We are now in our 4th week and feel like we have ironed out most of the kinks and we are all starting to adjust to being with one another a lot more! We are having a great time learning together and being closer as a family. Don't get me wrong, going from 3 kids in school all day and only a toddler at home to all 4 kids at home all day was a huge shock for all....but little by little day by day we are all finally in a routine and enjoying it. It's not easy being everything to everyone all of the time, I am looking forward to a spa day here really soon! I love my kids so much and feel so blessed to be their mother.

Club Libby Lu!!!

From 6 to 12 instantly! Good thing it was just for a few hours!!!

Camryn and I have always wished that there was a Club Libby Lu closer to us than Down Town Disney....and now there is one at our local Mall!!!

So, of course we had to go! Since we started Homeschooling .....yes...I said Homeschooling, we went on a Monday morning and had the entire place to ourselves and she was totally pampered! She had so much fun getting her hair and nails done and being surrounded by Hannah Montana stuff and listening to her favorite music. She got a Hannah Montana pink tank top that barely fit her....xs was still too big! She got a poster, the makeup that they put on her and a microphone and a really cute hair piece!

When we were all finished, we deicided to go have a quick lunch and on the way to the restaraunt this lady calls out to us from behind and says "excuse me, can I please take a picture of your daughter?" I'm thinking I don't have time and I already spent a bunch at the Libby Lu store....what will Mike think......she said "I'll give you a free 8x10 no strings...your daughter looks way too cute!" So we headed to the Kiddie Kandids and she had her picture taken! It tuned out so cute! We really had a great day!

Pinewood Derby

The Cub Scouts held their annual Pinewood Derby this month. We had a great time especially Blake....and he's only 2 1/2! Everyone's cars were so fast that they the hardest time determining a winner! Gavin took 3rd over all at his first race ever! Jeffrey won an award for the coolest looking car! Even Blake raced a car.....he couldn't hardly wait for the "Family Race".

Jeffrey could have been a bit more enthused!!!

Gavin Turns 8!

We had the blessing of Gavin turning 8 and being baptized! We are so proud of him for making that decision. We had lots of family (from my side) there due to my Nephew Shad's wedding the day before. It was nice to have lots of cousins there and a few friends from church.

Here are some pictures of his actual birthday-we had a cousins and friends birthday breakfast.(ooops, no pictures....forgot that we vidoe'd the entire event!) We let him open one gift (an I-Pod Shuffle) and then opened the rest that evening. No regular birthday cake for this kid- it had to be cheesecake! We were sad to find out that Trader Joe's no longer carries the brand that Mike and I grew up on and that Gavin became accustomed to. It was a sad day indeed!

What do ya think?

Do I still look like my baby girl??? It's shocking I know! But it has been a week and I really like it now! In the begining, I thought that I needed a few tatoos and some piercings on my lip!!
