Camryn holding Miss Lizzy on her bed during our photo shoot!
This blue dress is one of my favorites!
Camryn with Lacy her American Girl doll. I made matching outfits and headbands for them.
So, I have been sewing for the kids and the house (pillows, bedding and curtains) now for about 8 years. I think I am going to try selling some of my designs on http://www.etsy.com/. We'll see.
After! I love it! I know green might be a weird color but, I saw one briefly on HGTV and made of snap shot of it in my head and had to have it!!! Next, I'll be painting her room! We can say goodbye to all the coloring on the wall.
Don't look at the mess on the floor! Her dresser just got put back together and still have to organize lots of stuff that we probably don't need anymore!
This is Camryn's Dresser. Before. It was cute, but not really special.
Can you see those big boy under wears(other wise known as unawears)???? I am so excited the Blake has started potty training! It's sad that he is getting bigger but this is a natural progression I tell my self. We started yesterday and he only had two accidents and today has been off to a great start! It is 11 a.m. and no accidents! I think he' got it! He starts preschool in a month and needs to be a big boy! Good job sweetie!
We had a great time watching The Hannah Montana concert in 3D! Cami made it a girls night with her friend Skye complete with wigs, nail polish and lip gloss for some pre movie fun! Gavin has had a crush on Miley Cyrus for the past two years....shhh, don't tell anyone! You can see that Jeff is less than enthused, but he did watch the whole thing!
We all got together for our every two years reunion. We all headed to Salmon, Idaho where Mom and Dad met and the rest is history place. Really, there's more. They attended Salmon Highschool together and were engaged on graduation night. They've been married for 52 years! Our Paternal Grandparents owned and operated a very nice restaurant in town called The Shady Nook. It's still there and going strong. It was a residence as well for them. Very charming. I think I have a photo of it some where. It's an adorable white two story house. Anyway, big brother Jeff decided to get out of the rat race here in California and bought a bunch of acreage with a nice house on it with the Salmon River running behind it. Absolutely beautiful! All 8 kids and their families attended as well as our 2 cousins, their families and our Aunt and Uncle on the Sheets side. There were so many kids!!!!
Giddy up! Blake called every horse we saw on the way to Grandma and Grandpa's house "Dutch!" He has fond memories I guess of last summer's ride. When we finally pulled up to the house, the first thing he did was run over to the barn and ask for a ride. The grandparents obliged him of course! Dutch is Grandma's horse and doesn't have too much spunk left in him these days and is perfect my city kids who don't ride often.
No, just kidding he's a great shot! We stopped in St. George Utah to see Mike's sister and her family on our way to Idaho for our family reunion. We took all the kids shooting and everyone except Blake and Camryn shot! Jeff and Gavin both shot the big shot gun and felt the kick back big time! They both limped away holding their sides! They preferred the 22 and so did I! Yes, I shot the guns too!
This past Sunday morning as we were all getting ready for church, I heard this shaking leaf tree branch sound in the house. I saw the Ficas tree in the living room moving all about and then saw a tail waving at me! Miss Lizzy found higher ground to hide from Blake!
I have been so busy that I let the 4th of July get past me with out posting! We had our annual 4th of July block party that my neighbor Lisa and I host and it was a great success! Our other neighbor Mike, otherwise known as the pyrotechnician does the fireworks show with a fantastic finale`! A great time was had by all! Sorry, this is the only picture I took all night. Lisa on the left. Linda in the middle (pyro's wife) and me. Not the best pic as we were dealing with wind and hundred degree weather.
Yeah! I finally enrolled the kids in swim classes! They have just finished 4 weeks worth! We are going to take a little break and then back to the pool! They are all doing so well. Jeffrey and Gavin are just like ducks in the water and Camryn is finding her confidence and just graduated to level two. Blake and I do the Mommy and Me class, yes, I put on a swim suit and get in the pool~! He loves it and knows how to blow bubbles and go under water and hold onto two noodles and swim by himself! Mike and I are so proud of them!
Camryn and Sydney, Sydney and Camryn holding each others American Girl Doll. These two always seem to be able to find fun doing almost anything. I think they might all need matching outfits!
